about me

I'm an Editor at Plough Quarterly and a freelance writer with the New Statesman, The Observer, The Times Literary Supplement & elsewhere.

I write essays and features on politics, religion, literature, and the spaces in between.

My reviewing work covers a range of non-fiction, with a particular focus on biography, contemporary social issues, and cultural, political and intellectual histories.

Before taking up my position at Plough I was a Staff Writer at The Tablet between 2021 and 2023; before that, I read Intellectual History at the University of Oxford, where I was awarded the 2020 Raymond Williams prize for my research into the Arts and Crafts movement.
